VOLVO C30 hatback 2007-2012 - The Volvo C30 was aimed at younger drivers, with sleek appearance, however comparitively slow sales meant Volvo dropped it from its new car range in 2012.
The Volvo badge added prestige over a lot of traditional hatchback choices like the Ford Focus and Honda Civic, and build quality was wonderful with a well laid out interior. The downside is that the C30 makes sacrifices for its obvious style as it isn't significantly practical and is only available with three doors. It makes up for these shortcomings with a good choice of engines and, when new, came with a competitive price tag compared to alternative upmarket hatchbacks.

VOLVO C30 hatback specification review
VOLVO C30 hatback 2007-2012 test drive performance review- The Volvo C30 may be a quirky various in the C-segment. The 1.6-litre diesels are economical and refined, however the car lacks the dynamic fizz so common in this class.
The C30 is a simple car to like. it's made the jump from idea to production remarkably intact and, for the most part, feels the niche premium product it’s imagined to be. It’s a pleasurable car to be seen in; a good car to cruise in.
Volvo has such a lot right that it’s all the additional of a pity that it isn’t slightly more sensible and easy, however that will remove a part of the car’s appeal.
Its diesel engines – significantly the 1.6-litres – are superb, and provide impressively low running costs. Compared to the coupé-like Astra GTC and Mégane Coupé, the VOLVO C30 is a reasonable way into a classy C-segment hatchback, however against cars like the Ford Focus it will seem expensive.
It’s reasonably well priced, very handsome, safe, comfortable and economical, so it’s a true shame the C30 isn’t a lot of fun to drive.
